The road to Pai

6 March 2026 50:39 Pai, Mae Hong Son Chiang Mai & Pai
Still from “The road to Pai”

The 762 curves from Chiang Mai to Pai, a canyon at midday, and the last sunset of 2025 over the valley.

The road to Pai is the reason people come here: more curves than straight, a long climb through forest, and the valley appearing all at once at the end. We stopped at a cafe south of town, walked the red ridge of the canyon, and found a field full of people for the last sunset of the year.

The episode ends with the sun going down behind the ridge — the same thirty seconds that became the time lapse on the ride page, only slower.
