Ride to Daibutsu, Part 2
The Daibutsu above the trees, the kitsune and the golden gate at Doi Phra Chan — then the long ride back to Chiang Mai.
The second film is the temple and the way home. The Daibutsu above the trees, fourteen metres of green copper; the kitsune lined up along the wall with their red bibs; the golden gate with the valley behind it.
Then the superhighway again, north this time, with the light going and the hill dropping away behind the trees.
Two parts, one day, and a statue that does not look like it belongs in Lampang.
