A day ride from Chiang Mai to the highest spot in Thailand — the cloud sea, the summit shrine and the royal pagodas in fog.
The ride starts in Chiang Mai before light and climbs to the highest point in Thailand. The cloud sea was still sitting in the valley when we stopped, and the summit was cold and quiet apart from the shrine and the sign.
The way down took longer than the way up: the royal pagodas, the flower gardens and the fog.
